Pets Magazine 6th Anniversary Carnival

March 19, 2012 Leave a comment

Lele together with Pappi and I went to the Pets Magazine 6th Anniversary Carnival at Wave House Sentosa today. We have enrolled her in the fun dog shows, Waggiest Tail and Best Trick events. This is lele’s first time participating in such fun events other than agility. We missed out on last year due to an overslept mummi. Nevertheless, We are determined to not miss out the fun this time.

Lele managed to get through the finals for both categories after the preliminary rounds. She was performing really well giving focus during the best tricks event hence managed to held a 3rd placing. This has made possible with her sudden change of character becoming a extremist food motivated doggie just 2 weeks ago. Anyway, that will be on another blog post.

Well, as for the waggiest tail event, there is a magic word to trigger lele tail wag. She responded exactly as expected and got 1st in the category, all thanks to biggrin “Junior Power”. biggrin ~ Lele and junior first met when she was 5 months and Junior at 14 months old at the beagle club gathering (Video – The biggest beagle-Junior and smallest beagle-lele). As time goes and frequent meet-ups, both click well and will usually go into immediate play mode upon sighting each other. Despite Junior being twice the size of lele, both do get very rough when playing including intense sound effects. LOL. But gentleman junior do tends to give in to her most of the times. Eventually, both became besties pawpals even knowing each other’s name.

Anyway, it was indeed a great day full of fun, laughter, treats for lele, heat and rain at the carnival. It’s really a great experience performing in front of the crowd. Thumbs up to Pets Magazine for the event. Cheers!!! Look forward to next year 7th Anniversary.

Lele Met Lady

March 5, 2012 2 comments

Been away from the blog (Guilty again). So many things had happen with the first 2 months of 2012. Lele went for her first official trials which she stresses out and ran out of the ring (quite expected).

Anyway, this post if to blog about her with an unexpected playmate. Lele met Lady, a gorgeous Great Dane at the Bishan dog run yesterday. Lele somehow gave a loud yelp at around 0:37s of the clip. Looking back at the clip shows no contact between her and Lady. She’s indeed trying to be drama when she cannot outrun Lady. However lele likes being chase and Lady in return likes to chase. Great knowing Lady and her mummy, and probably we’ll see each other at the beach again.

5, 4, 3, 2, 1….. Happy New Year!!!

Lele and family wishes every one a prosperous and smooth year ahead!!!

I just kissed my sound asleep gal and wishes her Happy New Year, Be Happy and Stay Healthy always. :* Muack….

Lele is 19 months old now. In 5 more months she will be 2 bark years old. I suppose I mentioned multiple times on ever since lele became part of our family and adore by every family member, she brings about tons of joy and laughter to the us. Well, year 2012 will be a great year for Lele and myself. She will be learning new things and making new friends. I have line up activities to enjoy with her hence channeling her limitless energy to fun-filled programs.

Lele and Mummi 2012 Resolutions

  1. Compete in official Jumpers and Agility Trials
  2. Compete in Obedience Trials
  3. Participate in Canine Dancing
  4. All above MUST be fun, joyful and positive experience for Lele.

Looking back on year 2011, I like to recollect some of the happiest and proudest moment I had with her. Here goes,

“Huh, no squeaky in the ball…..”

  • Lele was awarded “The Most Active Dog” at the Toa Payoh Paws N’ Friends Carnival, Fun Agility Competition.

This is lele’s third fun agility trial. I really laugh out my tears during this run. She literally shocked me with outburst of energy the moment she jump over the first pole. Spectators were also having a good laugh as she ran the course herself, her way. I was initially hesitant to offleash her at the start line. But decided to go with my gut feeling since it’s quite a complex course if we were to run with the leash on.

Lele was gone the moment she jump over her first pole. She was like a crazy dog who have not been release for ages. My mind immediately went “Oh sh**, how do I get my dog back. It will be hilarious if I were to chase down my dog in front of the spectators.” 😛 Surprisingly, I tried recalling her a couple of times and she responded (for her case). She also followed my commands to run the course throughout other than me being too slow to guide her to the next obstacle. For the estimation of around 2-3mins in the ring, lele was driven with non-stop running coupled with occasional pause sniffing. Luckily at the finish line, she stopped and I managed to leash her up and leave the ring happily. Thank God really, I cannot imagine me having to chase her down which is almost impossible. Nevertheless, I am very proud of her performance. It’s a total different experience from the previous run which she was mostly sniffing the ground and ignoring my commands. I can feel and see she’s getting to understand and being more confident upon entering the ring and knowing what’s happening. Look forward to our official trial in 2012. Here are some photo highlights of the event. 🙂

Lele exploding out from the tunnel.

Happy Lele enjoying her run, her way.

Mummi: “Ahh, no eating mud.”  | Lele: “Hmm, the mud smell nice here…”

Yeppie, finishing jump!!!

Lele got a handshake with the Minister. Guess she is more interested in the bag of treats.

Tricks Engagement Practice on Reverse Weaving

December 23, 2011 2 comments

For the last 5 days, I only get to be with lele for the 2 to 5 hours per day. I came to realise the true importance of her in my life. I just want to spend every available time around her whenever possible. Luckily Pappi don’t get jealous about it. Today weather is not on our side. It was raining non-stop from 2pm to 6pm. Unable to bring her for a good long walk, I brought her to Pappi’s work place and did some engagement practice with her. It’s always fun to see her so focus especially on the new founded treats that she loves a lot.

Enjoy the video!!!  Start having fun with your doggie too.

Dog Hash #118 | Blackmore Drive

November 13, 2011 Leave a comment

Lele has so many happenings to blog about that it have been kept in my draft folder for the past weeks. Need to buck up and stop getting lazy. But Lepawsvoyage Facebook Page has much more activities than the blog with constant photos update. Thanks Pappi for taking great pictures of lele and her pawpals and sharing in FB. Do check out the pics, ya.

Well, let’s get on to writing a quick blog now before my brain went dead.

Weather in Singapore is getting eractic. It was raining almost the whole afternoon for today. Due to the rain, lele’s agility training got cancelled. This is something I always look forward having fun with lele. But anyway, there is the once a month dog hash today. Something lele enjoyed even more than agility. She will howl and run aimlessly, climb up and slide down slopes and showing off her agility skills by jumping over tree trucks and branches. This dog hash is the most muddiest run I ever did. I don’t know how many times I actually slips but luckily manage to regain my posture. I even got my foot stuck in the mud and almost spilt my pants. LOL… It is a great hash and lele really enjoyed herself to the peak. I am happy that I decided not to back out in bringing lele for this hash due to the rain. Seeing lele’s face lighten up the moment we arrive the site and her hyperness makes all the aftermath of muddy clothings and showering of the my little gal all worthwhile.

Another Lele and Pawpals – Bishan Dog Run

October 22, 2011 Leave a comment

Brought lele to work today!!! Yes, to the dog run. We were expecting an “in-house” beagle gathering today with fellow beaglies Daisy, Rayne and Max joining us. In addition were Buster and Paco, the morning dog run regulars.

It was overwhelmed at the dog run today, there were like a total of 12 dogs at one time. Almost every doggie was chasing and running around. My overly-sociable lele as usual was wagging her way in search of her wrestling playmate. She was lucky to be entertain by Paco today. Both of them just can’t get enough chasing and knocking into each other until we have to get them apart to cool off. The field was rather muddy due to the heavy downpour for the past few days. We ended up seeing 2 very muddy and brownish beagles after their sparring session.

This is one of the best day I personally felt having to watch all doggies getting along well together. And also lele running and chasing endlessly even after 2 hours of play is just amazing.
